About Us

Who Are We?

We are two graduates of Emerson College with a love of animated Disney movies. Want more specifics?

Maddie: I studied Studio Television Production, and all my friends know I’m a Disney fanatic. Ever since I was a child, I’ve loved the magic of the movies, and Disney in many ways has lead me down the path that I’m now pursuing. It doesn’t hurt that I’m from California, and have gone to Disneyland almost every year of my life. My favorite Disney movie is a tie between The Aristocats and The Jungle Book.

Alexis: I was a Marketing Communications major, with a minor in Writing and Political Communication. And like Maddie, I am also a Disney fanatic!  I grew up with Disney; the movies were always something that my whole family could enjoy together, and my Disney memories are some of the best memories I have. I’ve been fortunate enough to have been to Disney World five times in my life and I truly believe it’s a magical place.  If I had to choose a favorite Disney movie, I would say either The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh or Beauty and the Beast.

Why?
Because what better time to relive our childhoods than when we are getting ready for being full-on adults? We figured it would be a fun way to reflect on our childhoods. Really: Why-the-hell not?

A Note: We have decided to watch movies theatrically released by Walt Disney Animation, aka the offcial Walt Disney Animated Classics. NOT Pixar or DisneyToon, or anything that only had a distribution deal with Disney (aka Studio Ghibli). There are a few exceptions to that rule, such as straight to home video sequels or other ones we just love too much, but for the most part it stands true. We have done this because otherwise this project would be near impossible, or at least incredibly hard to complete. Keep in mind: we are still college students! In addition, we have eliminated any compilation movies or shorts, such as The Wind in The Willows or Make Mine Music. We will be watching them in order of release (except for some sequels that we have only included because we love them). Lastly, there will be 62 days of Disney but they WILL NOT BE CONSECUTIVE. So please, don't expect that of us.
